The Point Theatre in Dublin's Docklands district, which re-opens in December, has been renamed O2 Dublin.
The concert venue, part-owned by Live Nation, represents Ireland's first major naming rights deal.
The move comes as part of a recent strategic brand alliance between Live Nation and O2 Ireland.
The 13,000-seat O2 Dublin will boast an amphitheatre design with state-of-the-art acoustics. It is expected to host up to 150 events a year.
