Transport for London will host a free, interactive, cycle-themed event at Tower Hill to celebrate the London stage of the Tour of Britain on 7 September.
BikeJam will feature cycle-stunt performers, advice on cycling in London, an interactive arts and crafts zone and pedal-powered, mobile food stalls.
Tour of Britain is part of the mayor's Summer of Cycling and will feature Britain's top cyclists, such as Mark Cavendish. The tour finishes on 14 September.
It will start in London and see 96 cyclists racing 86 kilometres on an 8.6km circuit, passing landmarks such as Big Ben and the Tower of London.
Visit London chief executive James Bidwell said: "We hope the BikeJam event will be an enjoyable one that will inspire even more families, who may not have cycled before, to take to their saddles and enjoy London."
