Sales course tackles challenging economic climate

Association Eventia's first dedicated sales course for event industry professionals took place at the Barbican on 24 November.
Presented by executive coach and business mentor Mary Sharp, she spoke on the preparatory process for generating sales and tactics used by successful salespeople to gain a competitive edge in a hard market.
A panel of industry experts comprised of Perception managing director Cath Couzens, Ascot Racecourse sales and marketing director Gary England, Barbican head of corporate sales Anthony Hyde, and Confex Group event director Duncan Reid.
The session included a questions and answers section that focused on successful sales and marketing techniques.
