Five's Gadget Show set for NEC debut

North One Television, Five and Upper Street Events have teamed up to launch The Gadget Show Live.

Based on Five's primetime technology programme, the show will take place at NEC Birmingham from 17-19 April 2009 and hopes to attract at least 30,000 visitors.
The event will see more than 120 exhibitors promoting the latest in computing, photography, mobile communications, gaming, home entertainment and in-car technology.

There will also be a range of interactive and informative features, including hourly presentations, a geek squad clinic and challenges hosted by the presenters of the TV show.

"The UK has the largest electrical goods market in Europe, with an estimated worth of more than £12bn per year," said Upper Street Events event director Matt Hodgins. "We are looking forward to hosting an experience-led event that offers a consumer showcase for the very best the industry has to offer."
