What is it? According to its owners, the largest ballroom in Scotland. The space has just undergone a £1.2m makeover as part of the hotel's £10m refurbishment project, due to be completed in Spring 2009.
What's it got? The 1,000sqm room has been lovingly restored with a polished wooden dancefloor, new carpets and new lighting. It can accommodate up to 1,500 guests theatre-style and has a projection and lighting control room to support the most sophisticated of events. For smaller functions, the Ballroom can be divided into three suites, The Cambridge, The Imperial and the Lord Provost, each of which has its own entrance into the lobby. In addition to the Grand Ballroom, the hotel's Robert Burns Suite has also had a facelift and can now seat 200 guests theatre-style.
