I used to work for UCI cinemas. They took over the management of the Empire Leicester Square in London's West End in the early 1990's. As part of the refurbishment, the concession / foodstand had a makeover to include mirrored tiles on the floor.
The management could not understand why the sales shot up by so much - to male customers who could not take their eyes off the stand - staffed by girls \( can you guess where this is going yet...?)
The mirrored floor tiles lasted 2 days before they were ripped up and replaced by a conventional floor
