Mike Fletcher picked up on the web frenzy over exhibition organiser Clarion Events' purchase of the DSEi, ITEC and LAAD defence shows. A range of anti-arms trade campaigners immediately revealed their animosity to the acquisition, with some bloggers venting their feelings by launching scathing attacks on Clarion's chief executive Simon Kimble. It is one of the industry's hottest topics, and likely to generate a host of discussions until the next DSEi show in September 2009.
